Description of Proposed Class
Needle felting is a craft in which a needle and wool fibers are used to create soft sculptures of animals, food and many other things. In this class, you will make a needle felted owl from wool. All supplies will be provided with enough materials to make another owl at home using the skills learned at class. No previous experience in felting is needed. Bonus: If time permits, we will also make a small owl brooch!
About the Teacher
JoAnn has been teaching pottery for the last 30 years, and needle felting for the past 5. She recently purchased property in Horntown and has been participating in the CCA farmer's market, where several people voiced a desire to learn to felt. After a successful class in November making Gnomes, the participants decided to opt for owls next!
