Student Age: 18 and up
Learn the basics of photography! This class is for new or enthusiast level people, using digital (DSLR or Mirror-less) and/or 35mm cameras. We will discuss framing, lighting and settings, as well as the basics on aperture, shutter speed, ISO & White Balance. Advice on how to practice to improve your skills will be provided.
Students must bring their own camera - either a 35 mm camera, or a DSLR camera, either digital or mirrorless. This class is not for cell phone cameras.
Jim has been a photography enthusiast for more than 30 years and a professional for 10. He has sold his art at the Chincoteague Farmers and Artisans Market and retail stores including the The Brant on Chincoteague. He specializes in photographs of the famous Chincoteague wild ponies and is passionate about capturing other wildlife, seascapes and all things Chincoteague.
