About Us

We are an all-volunteer, community-based, not-for-profit (501[c]3) organization whose programs and activities provide a wide variety of opportunities for Chincoteague visitors and residents to experience the arts and culture of the Island. We plan and present more than 100 programs each year, including musical performances, live theatre, farmers and artisan markets, classes, art shows and exhibits, story telling events, classes, writers' workshops and more. Our goal is to build community through the arts while supporting local artists of all kinds and encouraging everyone to get involved in the arts .
Our mission is:
  • To create opportunities for residents and visitors to the Eastern Shore to experience and learn about the arts.
  • To create a supportive environment for artists that improves their capacity to contribute to community life.
  • To cultivate collaborations that advance community development through the promotion of arts and culture.
We invite all residents and visitors to participate in our events, to volunteer to help with any of our activities, and to support our mission with donations and time.
