We look forward to Plein Air Week each September when artists from all over the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond gather to paint outdoors on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. You may see them painting near you!

Thursday, September 10
Robert Reed Waterfront Park
12:30 to 4 pm
Open to all local artists (even those not participating in the whole Plein Air event). $5 to enter. Register in person at 12:30 pm at the pavilion. Paint from 1 to 3 pm in the surrounding area. Judging and sale take place from 3 to 4 pm. We recommend that your piece be framed.

PLEIN AIR ART SHOW AND SALE
Saturday, September 12 - 6 to 9 pm
Chincoteague Center • 6155 Community Drive

Join us at the free art show on the Saturday of Plein Air week to mingle, meet the artists, view their art and maybe even purchase a piece for your home, office or as a gift. This highly anticipated event is held at the Chincoteague Center across from the town offices. There will be a cash bar with beer, wine and soft drinks, and free finger food.
