BIG BOLD FLOWERS Mary Back $375 SOLD Medium Size: 36" H, 36" W Unframed I wanted something different, something big for a tiny room in my home in Florida. CHINCOTEAGUE PONY Mary Back $295 Pottery Size: 12" H, 10" W I took pictures of ponies living on the Chincoteague Island and decided to do a sculpture and have it fired in raku. I took a lot of pictures and sculpted out the head. I cut the piece in half and scraped out the insides so that there would be no major cracks when fired. I glazed all the parts I wanted to keep off white. I left the mane free of glaze and the eyes and lips. I glazed the rest with crackle cone 04 glaze and had it fired at a raku firing at the Eastern Shore Potters Guild. The glaze cracked and the smoke left beautiful lines in the face of the horse. It is a one of a kind piece. Questions? Email [email protected] Delivery: Local pickup at CCA on 8/1 from 2pm to 4pm Click to purchase |

OCTOPUS BOWL Mary Back $99 Pottery Size: 12" H, 10" W I was at an art show and received a request from a couple to create an octopus bowl for their daughter who is an oceanographer. I made the piece and have been making them ever since. They are very difficult to create because the bowl must be dry enough to clean the bottom yet wet enough to put the octopus on it and adhere to the walls of the piece. Questions?
