CHINCOTEAGUE'S YELLOW BEACH COTTAGE
Janet Jamil

$240
Acrylic  -  11" H, 14" W
Framed
Total: 12 1/2" H, 15 1/2" W
I was immediately captivated by this cute, bright yellow cottage at 3380 Main Street. The gargoyles that frame the gate had been given masks for the pandemic! The gardens are full of colorful flowers and a collection of whimsical items that just make you smile when you see them!

FISHING BUDDIES
Janet Jamil

$270
Acrylic  -  12" H, 16" W
Framed
Total: 13 1/2" H, 17 1/2" W
This father and son were having a beach day on the Refuge at Tom's Cove. I'm was pretty sure Dad was much more into the fishing than his buddy, but I'll bet they were glad to be out of the house and spending quality time together on a beautiful day!

GIRLS ONLY BEACH TRIP
Janet Jamil

$270
Acrylic  -  12" H, 16" W
Framed
Total: 13 1/2" H, 17 1/2" W
Remember the thrill of a beach day with your BFFs?! It was so much fun to watch these girls as they ran into the waves and threw their arms up in joy. I was remembering my daughter and her friends, and my nieces as I watched them laugh and run up and down in the water. This was the Refuge beach at Tom's Cove.

REFUGE GOLDEN HOUR
Janet Jamil

$480
Acrylic  -  18" H, 24" W
Framed - 19.5" H x 25.5" W

Sunset is one of my favorite times to paint and photograph at this iconic spot on Beach Road in the Refuge. The egrets and ponies seem to have a great relationship and often hang out together. Just for fun, I painted the scene on dark metallic gold, to give a slightly Oriental feel to the painting. Hard to photograph it, but in a room the light dances on the gold areas of the painting.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS
Janet Jamil

$270
Acrylic  -  12" H, 16" W - Unframed
I saw spots of sunbeams breaking thru dark clouds after a big storm. The lighthouse and the sunbeams reminded me of hope, which we could all use a little more of during this pandemic. This is a 1.5" thick gallery wrapped canvas suitable for hanging without a frame.

SANDCASTLES
Janet Jamil

$448
Acrylic - 16" H, 20" W
Unframed - Finished edges on canvas
"You are the sandcastle in my heart I will never let wash away"—Poem by Mike Essig
Families joyfully escaping the pandemic were splashing on the beach at Tom's Cove, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. This happy little painting is on a deep gallery wrapped canvas and painted on the sides so it is suitable for hanging unframed.
